Collections & Routine Matters

Richard frequently represents clients in their efforts to collect on their claims outside of the bankruptcy arena with his business legal counsel. He has also represented commercial businesses in complicated bankruptcy-related litigation or merely filing a proof of claim on their behalf. For smaller clients in financial distress, he may negotiate a workout with the creditors or arrange for an orderly liquidation without the delay and expense of bankruptcy. Finally, whether the client be large or small, they sometimes merely monitor a bankruptcy case and provide advice either upon request of the client or according to criteria established by the client and the responsible attorney.

Other Business Counseling

Richard frequently interacts with other legal and financial experts to provide a full and complete package of business advice to clients. He works with the client's tax counsel, financial advisor or CPA to provide business advice and ensure that the tax consequences of a transaction are acceptable as well.
